# Your first Beam API call

Use the Fleets API to list devices registered in a project.

## Prerequisites

- An MK.IO account with access to the project.
- A bearer token and the project name. See [Authentication and connections](/beam/api-guides/getting-started/authentication).

## List devices

Replace `<PROJECT_NAME>` with your project name and `<YOUR_TOKEN>` with your token:

## Verify the response

A successful response returns HTTP `200`. The response contains the device list in `value` and metadata in `supplemental`. See the [Fleets API reference](/api-reference/fleets-api) for the complete response and error definitions.
