Multiplexing

The Multiplexing function in MK.IO Beam allows you to combine multiple encoded streams, audio tracks, metadata, and signaling into a single MPEG-TS output suitable for broadcast or distribution workflows. It also supports re-multiplexing and de-multiplexing of IP input streams, with PID remapping, PID filtering, and output adaptation for a variety of network environments.

You configure this functionality through the Multiplexer service in the MK.IO Beam interface. From there, you can define inputs, program structures, PIDs, service information (SI/PSI), and output parameters. MK.IO Beam manages the underlying stream assembly and timing alignment automatically, enabling you to create and maintain multiplexed outputs without needing to handle low-level transport-stream operations.
