Configure SDI output
The Receiver feed has the ability to output baseband video as SDI. This is supported by using the SFP outputs from the accelerator card or by an optional card.
Before you start, ensure:
- At least one receiver feed is running.
- One of the following options is present:
- MKP/HWO/SFP-M/SDI/3G/C
- MKP/HWO/SFP-M/SDI/12G/C
- MKP/HWO/SFP-M/SDI/12G/F
- Or the equivalent UPH option
The following option Cards are valid for SDI output:
- MKP/HWO/PCI/SDI/DTA (Dektec 2174B SDI/ASI)
- 4 x 3G-SDI or 1 x 12G-UHD-SDI
- MKP/HWO/PCI/SDI/8 (Dektec 2178 SDI/ASI)
- 8 x 3G-SDI or 2 x 12G-UHD-SDI
- MKP/HWO/DEMODSDI (Dektec 2127 DVB-S2X Receiver with 3G/SDI Output)
- 1 x 3G-SDI output
- Beam only
Further information on configuring the output SDI format can be found under 3G SDI and UHD video.
-
From the Home page, select the RECEIVER item from the required feed then click .
-
In the Parameters window, select the Output tab.
-
Select the Output interface required from the drop down menu in the SDI window. Output interfaces are configured.
- Ports that are already in use by other running services are listed in the drop down menu with the name of the service which is currently using them.
- When a feed with a Receiver element is created the SDI output interface is always assigned to SDI1.
⚠️
If another feed is already using this interface when you try to start the service then it will be blocked from starting until:
- An unused port is selected for the new service.
- The current running feed is stopped.
- The feed is reconfigured to avoid a clash.
If the feed is blocked from starting for this reason, then the alarm icon displays the following alarm:
Insufficient Resources – SD 1 port already in use
