How to switch to alternate content using Prisma and Live Encoder

Live Encoder interfaces with Prisma to manage some alternate contents (such as switching to another source) and media composing use cases such as inserting a crawler, a logo, a slate…

The basic workflow is the following:

  1. Prisma triggers alternate content/media composing actions to Live Encoder using ESAM request.
  2. Once performed, Live Encoder returns a status back to Prisma.
