Statistical Multiplexing Tab
By default, statistical multiplexing is disabled for multiplexing services.
To enable Statistical Bitrate allocation, tick the corresponding box.
To add additional statistical multiplexing pools, click the Add Pool button.
Statmux Advanced Settings
These settings are only for advanced configurations. Default values should be suitable for the majority of use cases.
Parameter name | Description | Possible values |
---|---|---|
Minimum bitrate multiplier | Controls the next minimum bitrate for each statmux interval. Lower values results in faster bitrate decrease | Floating point values between 0.1 and 1 |
Priority rate factor | Adjusts the strength of the priorities rate factor. Higher values result in greater differences between the allocated bitrates for different levels of priority. | Floating point values between 0.1 and 1 |
Show service names on statmux graph | Causes the statmux statistics page to display the encoding live service name instead of the Channel Id. | Tickbox, enabled by default |
For encoding live service names to be showed in the statmux statistics page, tick the Service name in profile name parameter checkbox in the Live encoder configuration.
Specific Pool Settings
To add pools, click the corresponding button.
For each pool, the following parameters must be specified:
Parameter name | Description | Possible values |
---|---|---|
Name | Unique name of the pool for this service. | String of max 32 characters |
Bitrate | Bitrate allocated to the current pool | 0 to 200000000 bps |
Primary Network Interface | Specifies the interface (as seen by the operating system) used to communicate with members of the statmux group. | String of max 32 characters |
Secondary Network Interface | (Optional) Specifies a secondary, redundant, interface used to communicate with members of the statmux group. | String of max 32 characters |
Video Only | Specify if only Video components are to be included in the statmux pool. | Dropdown menu: Off, On |
