How to generate a support package

A support peackage includes files that allows support teams to recreate your system configurations for testing and troubleshooting.

To generate a report package, follow these steps:

  1. Login as a user with Can generate Support Package privileges. By default the admin and configuration groups have this.

  2. Display servers.

  3. In the Actions column, click . The following page is displayed:

  4. Click Generate to generate a new support package.

    The contents of the support package can be adjusted using the selection marks by the collectors.
    By default all collectors will run.

  5. Click Download to save a copy of the support packages. The Support Package Generator creates compressed tar files in the most widely-accepted (POSIX-PAX) format.

    A compliant utility, such as 7Zip (at least v21.07), WinRar or Linux tar must be used to open it, otherwise filename corruption may occur.
