Scrambling Tab
This tab allows to enable scrambling via external Eis.
By default, scrambling via Eis is disabled for multiplexing services.
To enable scrambling via External Eis tick the corresponding box.
Existing SCGs will be disabled on any output where external Eis is enabled.
Scrambling Group Properties
These settings are only for advanced configurations. Default values should be suitable for the majority of use cases.

Minimum bitrate modifier | Controls the next minimum bitrate for each statmux interval. Lower values results in faster bitrate decrease | Floating point values between 0.1 and 1 |
Scrambling Algorithm* | Chosen Scrambling Algorithm Version. Changing it on a running service requires a service restart. | Dropdown menu: CSA V1 48bits, CSA V2 64bits, BISS Mode1, BISS Mode2, CISSA V1 TS Level, CISSA V1 PES Level, AES-ECB, BISS CA, Director 6 |
Behaviour until all required ECMs for SCG first received | Choose how to output until all scrambling information is available. | Dropdown menu: Component(s) in SGC not present in output TS, Component(s) in SCG in-the-clear inn output TS |
Scrambling Vendors Parameters
To add information about a vendor, click on the corresponding + Add Vendor button.
Parameter name | Description | Possible values |
---|---|---|
Name* | Name of the vendor. When the configuration is saved, the name will appear as title of the vendor panel. You can use the arrow on the right to collapse or expand the panel for easier management of multiple vendors configuration. | String of max 32 characters |
